Tuesday 6/12/07 @ 6:15am what a beautiful day it was!

Hello every one my name is Ted and this is the start of my new blog. I just wanted to give everyone a little insight on who I am and how I feel about my family ENJOY!

Tuesday morning was a day I would never forget. I will take you through the events that bring us to that Tuesday morning, what a ride it was. My wife who is the most beautiful woman on this earth is now 9 months pregnant with my baby girl a.k.a "My little bird". I started calling our baby that from the moment I found out she was pregnant, I just envisioned a little bird as cute as can be, what can I say I’m a softy. We had a pretty rough pregnancy and around the time my wife was 6 months pregnant, the doctor said the baby would be very little and maybe under weight. This brought many thoughts to our head, is our baby ok, will she be normal etc. God is good and we always trusted that god had his hand over our baby's life so we went into prayer and put our trust in the guy upstairs. They had been monitoring my wife for weeks and taking measurements and the results were all the same but we did not lose hope. On June 5th 2007 we had an appointment to see the doctor again and the results of that visit were the same but this time the doctor said that the baby had not grown and he was worried that if we waited too long the baby could be harmed. The doctor set an appointment for the 11th of June to determine what the proper steps would be to make sure the baby would be ok but more than likely he would induce labor. Monday 6/11/07 @ 11:15 a.m. starts this rollercoaster which leads to one of the happiest days of my life. I picked up my wife from work and started that ride to the doctor which would turn out to be our last visit. My wife was really nervous about this visit but I told her that what ever happens it's because God wants it to be that way and we both agreed to stay positive and just believe in God. The doctor’s results were what I thought they would be, labor was to be induced and he sent us to the hospital right away. The hospital was just a few minutes away so we decided to go home first and get cleaned up and grab a bite to eat. Once we got to the hospital they went to work on my wife right away, a pinch here a pinch there and we were on our way to having a baby! The nurses at the hospital started a procedure to get my wife to the point where they can give her Pitocin which is a medication to make her go into labor; it was to take about 14 hours to get to that point. The baby was coming 2 weeks early so I had a task of getting the baby room finished with in the next few days and also be there to hold my wife’s hand when she needed me; talk about multi tasking hahahaha. I spent most of the night going back and forth from the house to the hospital and at 5 a.m. Tuesday morning I walked in to the hospital and they advised me that they were about to start the Pitocin. The nurse said it would be a while so I had time to freshen up and take a shower at the hospital. My shower was great, I was tired but was running on pure adrenalin, my baby was almost here! As I was drying my self off I hear a ton of screaming coming from the room where my wife is in, I open the door to see nurses running around and my wife shaking like if she had just seen a ghost. I immediately ask what was going on and why my wife was so scared. The nurse in charge of my wife said in a low tone "the baby's heart beat started to drop when we gave your wife the Pitocin and an emergency C-section must be preformed to save the baby." They gave me 20 minutes to get ready and dressed. They rolled my wife away and I started to pray. They came to get me about 10 minutes later and I was standing in the middle of an operating room with my wife lying on the bed and they told me to sit down and just be calm, I looked at my wife and just smiled. The doctors were cutting away and in about 5 minutes we hear a scream that was so beautiful, we both started to cry and at exactly 6:15 a.m. on June 12th My little bird was born. What a beautiful day it was!
